My travels are about adventure, discovery, cultural immersion, exploration and eating all the food. In my time I’ve racked up quiet the experience resume; summited Australia’s highest mountain (Kosciusko), sailed the high seas on the racing yacht Samurai; soared through the skies over Wilpena Pound and Heart Reef; hung out in a 2500 year old Buddist temple in Myanmar and swam with sharks in a secluded bay at the outer Great Barrier Reef.

I am a qualified chef by trade with over a decade of cooking experience in high volume commercial kitchens in Australia, the United Kingdom and USA heading up teams and working closely with internationally acclaimed Chefs specialising in Functions, 4 – 5 Star Hotels and Restaurant cookery.

My love affair with food has morphed into clean eating; Keto with a splash of Paleo produced from locally sourced produce. Even though a rare indulgent fine dining experience is still on my YES list, I find eating tasty foods for fuel is where I am at!

shenANNAgans was created in 2014 to share more of my passions in the events and hospitality arena as a whole. I have worked in professional roles in the hospitality industry since 1997, I transitioned from professional chef into Hotel Management specialising in Sales, Events and Marketing in 2009 working closely with clients designing, creating and producing dinners and events for up to 1000 guests at exclusive nationally recognised venues such as the National Press Club of Australia, Australian Parliament House and in recent years, Daydream Island Resort.
