WOWZA! What a ride 2016 has been for this little shenANNAgator… Had someone of told me 6 months ago where I would be this very day, there is no way in a million years I would have said I’d be sitting in a beautiful little cafe on the main street of Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays, a small coastal town I now call home, reviewing, contemplating, meditating and honoring the year that was, and friends… it was a tasty one!
There’s nothing like some good old-fashioned food porn, right?! Trust me when I say I was a lot hungrier after compiling this list than when I started. So consider yourself warned (as in don’t view on an empty stomach)… So without further ado, I bring to you a round up of (in no particular order) my 16 most fabulous, most favourite InstaFoodie accomplishments of 2016.
After several experiments I’ve determined it’s impossible to overdose on food that has @thetrufflefarm truffle in it, on it or around it. I reckon a handful of Honey brandy snaps with truffle mascarpone & hazelnut granola and or Choux buns with truffle custard and green apple would surely make all that was wrong with this craptastatic day, right, really right! I reckon all Saturday’s should include long lazy lunches with foodie friends. We wined and dined our way through nine delicious courses @molto_italian 🍝 We kicked this epic feed off with Stuzzichini (appetizers) of beef carpaccio with truffle oil, Testun Barolo cheese and micro herbs + swordfish carpaccio with fennel and pomegranate.
