If I’m not chomping, stomping and romping my way around the globe, you’ll find me climbing mountains with Little Chef the dog, or cooking up a quirky and unusual storm in my kitchen creating seasonal, budget friendly, often plant based, mostly gluten free, dairy free and sugar free dishes. The recipes on shenANNAgans range from fun and unfussy to a little more involved, but ultimately, they’re all delicious.

I’m most inspired by the foods I eat when travelling or by random ingredients in my fridge and pantry that mean I can get my Top – Master – Iron Chef onnnnnn.

I am a qualified chef by trade with over a decade of cooking experience in high volume commercial kitchens in Australia, the United Kingdom and USA heading up teams and working closely with internationally acclaimed Chefs specialising in Functions, 4 – 5 Star Hotels and Restaurant cookery.

I love to funk up old recipes and try new food *snort* who am I kidding? I love ALL food (well not peach skin, that makes me gag!). It would hard for me to choose a favorite, but I have a soft spot for sushi, noodles, Asian greens, mangoes and breakfast foods.

I’m not vegan, but most of the dessert recipes here are. In my free time, you might spot me out and about, usually standing on a chair trying to snap the perfect Instagram shot or stuffing food in my pie hole.

shenANNAgans was created in 2014 to share more of my passions in the events and hospitality arena as a whole. I have worked in professional roles in the hospitality industry since 1997, I transitioned from professional chef into Hotel Management specialising in Sales, Events and Marketing in 2009 working closely with clients designing, creating and producing dinners and events for up to 1000 guests at exclusive nationally recognised venues such as the National Press Club of Australia, the National Convention Centre and Australian Parliament House.
